Japan sets Y52.7 trln spending cap for '10/11 budget

Japan's government has set a 52.7 trillion yen ($550 billion) ceiling on budget spending for the fiscal year starting in April 2010, which would be an increase from this fiscal year's main budget, mainly due to rising social security costs, Finance Minister Kaoru Yosano said on Tuesday.
