UK Net Mtge Lending At Record Low, But Approvals Rise

U.K. net mortgage lending posted its weakest gain on record in May, but the number of mortgages approved hit a 13-month high in a sign that interest in the depressed housing market is gradually picking up, data from the Bank of England showed Monday.
