The annual inflation rate fell in July in Saxony, the first German state to release inflation figures, as consumer prices slid for the first time since data collection began in 1991, the state statistics office said Wednesday. The figures confirm that inflation isn't a near-term risk in Europe's largest economy which faces a steep contraction this year.
