Wall Street mixed; Dollar and Yen stronger

Markets in the US ended mix on Tuesday but far from intra-day lows and managed to overcome the fall in stock prices in Europe. The Dow Jones lost 0.13% but the Nasdaq rose 0.40% on a volatile session after a report showed a decline in consumer confidence. Crude oil and gold plunged more than 1.50%. The Dollar and the Yen rose across the board.
